Julia Vee likes stories about magic, monsters, and good food. Julia was born in Macao and raised in Northern California where she attended U.C Berkeley, majoring in Asian Studies. She has been a trial lawyer for over twenty years practicing in Silicon Valley. She is a graduate of Viable Paradise, a science fiction and fantasy residential workshop. She and her co-author Ken Bebelle started writing sword and sorcery when they were 13. Their forthcoming trilogy has been acquired by Tor and debuts with Ebony Gate in the July of 2023. Ebony Gate is a contemporary fantasy with Asian elements and mythology set in the Pacific Rim.
