WTMP’s Open Inbox is much like a company’s open door policy—we will have a form that writers can use to ask questions about writing craft and traditional publishing to our Mentors-in-Residence (MIR). What is it? From January 1 to March 30, 2022, WTMP will maintain a roster of authors and industry professionals to provide free writing and publishing advice to writers at all stages of their careers.

How it works: No contest entry required! Fill out the inbox form when it opens to request assistance from one of our professionals. You may direct your question to a specific mentor, or our team will assign one.

The Voices of Color Track

Making space for BIPOC authors.

What is it? A dedicated track for authors of color to can ask questions and request submission package critiques specifically to and from BIPOC Mentors-In-Residence.

How it works: On the Open Inbox form, WTMP participants can request their questions be specifically answered or submission packages be reviewed by a BIPOC Mentor-in-Residence.
