Amanda Helander is a speculative fiction writer from Seattle, Washington. Her romantic fantasy novel ISLE IN THE FLOOD was selected for Pitch Wars 2019. Amanda comes from a legal background and consequently gets way too excited about magical-legal frameworks in fantasy societies. Her short fiction has been published in The Arcanist.

Vaishnavi Patel is a law student who likes to write about Indian myth. Her work can be found in The Dark and 87 Bedford's Historical Fantasy Anthology along with a forthcoming story in Helios Quarterly. She was also a Pitch Wars class of 2019 mentee. Vaishnavi grew up in and around Chicago, attending college in the city and working at a local nonprofit before moving east.
