Peyton June

Age Category: Young Adult

Genre: Horror, Paranormal, Paranormal Romance, Thriller

MSWL: I want all your YA! I love difficult female protagonists and queer kids that cause trouble. Big fan of blood and guts (in books, not irl) so send me your horrors/thrillers/murder mysteries. I live for coming-of-age narratives, so give me all the angst that comes from first love, identity, and/or lycanthropy. Desperately seeking historical fiction with a speculative twist! I'm game for anything young adult except for second world fantasy, dystopian or science fiction.

Peyton June is the author of Bad Creek (Norton Children's Summer 2025). She was a WTMP mentee in 2023. Her experiences growing up in the Midwest inspire her to write about spooky small towns and the messy queer kids that survive them. From scary stories at summer camp to Goosebumps to Stephen King, Peyton has always been a fan of horror, especially when it’s used to challenge systems of oppression. After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Cleveland Institute of Art, she traded the cornfields of Ohio for the evergreens of Washington, where she now lives with her partner and their cat with a drooling problem. When she’s not creating, Peyton enjoys riding her fifty-year-old Schwinn bicycle, collecting antique photographs, and ghost hunting. She's represented by Miriam Cortinovis at ArtHouse Literary Agency.
