For MG: Send me either upbeat + quirky MG fantasy in the vein of Howl's Moving Castle OR slightly dark but witty stories in the vein of Lemony Snicket. I am also open to stories using magic to navigate more serious topics, in the vein of A Game of Fox and Squirrels.

For YA: Send me voicey contemporary fantasy or dark, brooding fantasy. I like Holly Black, Leigh Bardugo, Victoria Lee, Laini Taylor, Kelly Andrew, and Emily Thiede.

Brighton Rose is a speculative fiction author who writes for middle grade, young adult, and adult. She is currently represented by Uwe Stender at TriadaUS and has two books (an MG fantasy and a YA fantasy) on submission to editors. They were previously a mentee in AMM and Pitch Wars, and a mentor for two rounds of AMM. She is a member of SCBWI and intends to branch out into illustration and picture books someday.
